1. Describe the resources and capabilities of your local poison center.
2. Differentiate between the various toxic syndromes.
3. Identify toxic substances that can be found in a household garage.
4. Develop a treatment strategy for household intoxicants based on clinical and laboratory findings.

Earn up to 8.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. This activity is eligible for 8.0 contact hours of ACPE credit.  This program has been approved for 8 hours of state-approved pre-hospital personnel CME. This activity has been submitted to the Texas Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. Texas Nurses Association – Approver is accredited with distinction as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

PHARMACY CONTINUING EDUCATION
The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This activity is eligible for 8.0 contact hours of APCE credit.

INSTRUCTIONS TO RECEIVE CREDIT
Notice of Requirements for successful completion of continuing education credit: participants are required to record their attendance at the conference and complete the online evaluation at the end of the conference. When you complete the online evaluation you will receive access to your Certificate of Successful Completion (with the exception of pharmacists, see below).

PHARMACISTS
This seminar offers a total of 8 contact hours (.8 CEUs) of ACPE-accredited continuing pharmacy education credit accepted by the Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy and most other states. Credit will be earned based on the participation in individually accredited activities. Full attendance and participation are required before obtaining CPE credit. Partial credit will not be awarded. Please note next to the listed ACPE # the type of activity [(K) = Knowledge-based CPE activity, (A) = Application-based CPE activity]. These activities are structured to meet knowledge- and/or application-based education needs. A knowledge-based activity is for participants to acquire factual knowledge. An application-based activity is for participants to apply the information learned in the allotted timeframe. Information in knowledge- and application-type activities is based on evidence as accepted in
the literature by the healthcare professions.  

For successful completion and subsequent awarding of credit, the attendance verification procedure will require each participant to: Record your attendance at the beginning of both the morning and afternoon sessions, provide NABP e-Profile ID # and month and day of birth, complete the learning assessment, return nametag at the end of the final session attended and complete the online program evaluation.

The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy, as an ACPE-accredited provider, is required to report all pharmacy continuing education credit through the CPE Monitor. Credit will be available online to participants within four weeks upon verification of successful completion of the program. A notification email will be sent to participants when credit is uploaded.
