The Families First Coronavirus Response Act: What You Should Know

As a University employee, we want you to be informed about H.R. 6201, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. This new law is effective April 1, 2020. These regulations provide support for employees during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Act provides paid Emergency Family Leave in limited circumstances, as well as Paid Sick Leave for people affected by COVID-19. We encourage you to read the attached poster provided by the federal Department of Labor. If you are a supervisor who is on-site, please print this poster and display it prominently in a common employee area.
