Oklahoma women with little or no insurance will have access to no-cost mobile mammograms through grants awarded to the Stephenson Cancer Center at OU Medicine from local chapters of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Obesity has long been associated with encouraging the growth of tumor cells, but a recent study reveals that obesity can also play a role in improved outcomes in cancer patients treated with immunotherapy.

Researchers from around the nation will meet at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in early December to discuss the ways nanotechnology can be used to detect, diagnose and treat cancer.

Juan C. Claros, M.D., a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist, has established his medical practice with the Stephenson Cancer Center at OU Medicine. He is also an assistant professor of surgery with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.

OU Medicine Announces Neurosurgery Chair

Ian F. Dunn, M.D., has been named chairman and a professor of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He will also hold the Harry Wilkins, M.D. Chair in Neurosurgery.

On November 10, 2018 the University of Oklahoma announced a $34 million dollar gift made to the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center (HHDC) at OU Medicine.
